چکیده

In this note, we establish a connection between the dynamical degree, or algebraic entropy of a certain class of polynomial automorphisms of R3, and the maximum topological entropy of the action when restricted to compact invariant subvarieties. Indeed, when there is no cancellation of leading terms in the successive iterates of the polynomial automorphism, the two quantities are equal. In general, however, the algebraic entropy overestimates the topological entropy. These polynomial automorphisms arise as extensions of mapping class actions of a punctured torus S on the relative SU(2)-character varieties of S embedded in R3. It is known that the topological entropy of these mapping class actions is maximized on the relative character variety comprised of reducible characters (those whose boundary holonomy is 2). Here we calculate the algebraic entropy of the induced polynomial automorphisms on the character varieties and show that it too solely depends on the topology of S.

Monomial Irreducible sln-Modules

In this article, we introduce monomial irreducible representations of the special linear Lie algebra $sln$. We will show that this kind of representations have bases for which the action of the Chevalley generators of the Lie algebra on the basis elements can be given by a simple formula.

ON ABSOLUTE CENTRAL AUTOMORPHISMS FIXING THE CENTER ELEMENTWISE

Let G be a finite p-group and let Aut_l(G) be the group of absolute central automorphisms of G. In this paper we give necessary and sufficient condition on G such that each absolute central automorphism of G fixes the centre element-wise. Also we classify all groups of orders p^3 and p^4 whose absolute central automorphisms fix the centre element-wise.

Algebraic entropy, automorphisms and sparsity of algebraic dynamical systems and pseudorandom number generators

We present several general results that show how algebraic dynamical systems with a slow degree growth and also rational automorphisms can be used to construct stronger pseudorandom number generators. We then give several concrete constructions that illustrate the applicability of these general results.

On equality of absolute central and class preserving automorphisms of finite $p$-groups

Let $G$ be a finite non-abelian $p$-group and $L(G)$ denotes the absolute center of $G$. Also, let $Aut^{L}(G)$ and $Aut_c(G)$ denote the group of all absolute central and the class preserving automorphisms of $G$, respectively. In this paper, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for $G$ such that $Aut_c(G)=Aut^{L}(G)$. We also characterize all finite non-abelian $p$-groups of order $p^...

Triple factorization of non-abelian groups by two maximal subgroups

The triple factorization of a group $G$ has been studied recently showing that $G=ABA$ for some proper subgroups $A$ and $B$ of $G$, the definition of rank-two geometry and rank-two coset geometry which is closely related to the triple factorization was defined and calculated for abelian groups. In this paper we study two infinite classes of non-abelian finite groups $D_{2n}$ and $PSL(2,2^{n})$...
